Not only for beaches, nightlife, accommodation in hotels and restaurants, but also for the cultural and heritage guides offered at all these destinations.

Historical legacy with hundreds of years of castles, archaeological finds that you have not visited before, museums and cult places, can be turned into a cultural attraction during the holiday days.

It is still the most elite summer vacation area, but not only. The heart of the Ionian Sea offers opportunities also in the historical cultural aspect.


In the southern part of the city lies the Skate Castle, on a hill from where you can see a stunning view to Corfu. The castle dates back to the 17th century as a strategic point that controls the port. This fortification has a quadrilateral planimetry with two round towers.


Ideal to visit is the ancient temple of Finiq and St. Koll's church in the Mesopotamian village.


A little further south, going to Ksamil, you can visit Butrint. Ionian pearl is located on the lower edge of the southwestern coast of Albania, protected by UNESCO, butrint is considered one of the rare cultural heritage. There you can enjoy the ancient theater that shows the development of the town since ancient times, the basilica, the baptistery and dozens of statues. You can visit the whole complex where you will look closely at a unique architecture, while in the nearby museum, early objects are stored.


The Butrint Castle was built in the Middle Ages by the Byzantine Epiphany Despotate, there are bedding for fireballs and watch kings. During summer, the town offers numerous activities, including the book fair and the annual mulberry festival, which is accompanied by cultural, entertaining and informative activities.


Located between Tirana and Durrës, Lalzi Bay has returned to the last years in a destination that has attracted much attention. And not only from beaches, but also from places that reserve historic and cultural curiosity. The coastal line connects to a green pine pencil and fields extending indefinitely toward the gentle hills. Two of the most unique places in the area are the Hunting Reserve and the Grape National Park, two green oases that invite you to visit.


But the Rodon Cape, which is a peninsula shaped like a peninsula entering the interior of the Adriatic Sea, is the most beautiful attraction of the area, linked to the name of Redon, who is thought to have been the god of the sea according to Illyrian mythology. But the pearl of the area is the Rodon Castle, which was built by Skanderbeg in 1451 by Venetian masters. Its structure shows that it has been used as fortification, but also as a mansion for the Kastrioti family. Also in this area you can visit some Catholic monasteries that are placed on the traces of the existing ones.


The southern city is considered one of the most frequented places on the Riviera, not only for the beauties, but also because the stretch of beaches offers endless opportunities to enjoy the holidays. Of course, the historic pride of the city is the place where Independence was declared, now a museum, as well as the monument, which still remain in love. Information on culture and tradition can be learned by visiting the ethnographic and historical museum.


A valuable cultural object is the Sultan's style Muradies mosque, built and built by the Albanian architect Sinani.


Vlora still traces of history through the horses, where it is the scene of Kanin and Porto Palermo, where the latter remains an attraction that is closely related to the story of Ali Pasha Tepelena.


Meanwhile in Zvërnec you can visit the monastery of Saint Mary, which is distinctive for the architectonic aspect, featuring dome, bell tower and portico dating back to the 13th century.

Especially for those visitors who have been there for the 100th time but do not know the culture and history, Durres is the city with a history of the sea itself. So start your visit to the most important facility, which is the largest amphitheater in the Balkans with 15,000 seats, dating to the 13th century. 11 AD.


The structure has an underground crypt of early Christianity with rare mosaics on the wall.


In the center of the city lies the Torra Venetian located in the center of the castle, it was built by the Byzantine Emperor Anastasios.


Mosaic of the Beauty of Durres is the pride of the city. Built in the 4th century, it is known as one of the oldest in Europe and has a special technique, because it is made of small colorful pebbles that create the head of a woman.

In the suburbs you can also visit the Arapaj Mosaic or Bashtova Castle.


The northern part of the country offers one of the most beautiful and curative beaches. A few kilometers away is the city of Shkodra, where you can find some of the most beautiful places to visit.


Rozafa Castle is located at the entrance of the city, an Illyrian fortification which is surrounded by myths and legends. Within the castle there is also a museum.


The Lead Mosque, built in 1773, reflects the Turkish-Arab style and is located in the Tabake neighborhood and has a lead dome.


In the city you can also visit the Marubi Photography where a true photographer's dynasty shows the art of Albanian photography with a fund of 400,000 negatives, documenting life, tradition and town planning.


Another destination is the city of Sardinia, which is located on an island of Lake Vau Dejes. There you can visit the cave of Gajtan, the castle of Danjas and Dalmatia.


Just a few miles from Lezha, is located Shengjin, a small town that is drenched by the Adriatic Sea. With a 38-mile stretch of coastline from Rodon's Cape extends to Velipoja, you can discover an entirely unknown and attractive area.


One of the most distinctive properties is the Kune-Vain park and lagoon, with a green space where a large number of species of flora and fauna grow. A natural spectacle is the sandy belts that create 'intimate' places for many vacationers.


For those who love history and culture, Lezha offers several archaeological and museum centers. The memorial of the national hero Gjergj Kastrioti remains the most frequented, the church of St. Nicholas and the place where the Assembly of the Covenant was held. A few meters further lies the Castle of Lezha, from where one can enjoy a view stretching north to Shkodra.
